Job creation affecting housing demand
Last year, the demand was stimulated by the tax credit. However, this year’s demand is coming from an improving job market. The figures released on April 1, 2011 showed a net of 216,000 new jobs were created in March in the United States. In the first three months of this year we have seen 478,000 new jobs created. In fact we are on track for 2 million new jobs in 2011! With the overall economy gradually getting better the housing market is following. I have seen a sharp increase in activity since the middle of March here in Central Indiana.
