Overview from National Association of REALTORS research
The latest information has become available from a survey of Home buyers and sellers commissioned by MIBOR. The survey was based on transactions between July 2008 and June 2009.
- 47% of home buyers were first time homebuyers. This is largely due to the government incentives during the stimulus plan as well as the historically low mortgage rates.
- The real estate market is extremely competitive and a home buyer or seller needs an agent/broker who is able to provide a high level of service to meet their needs.
- The typical Indianapolis area buyer had a lower income and were less likely to purchase a new home than other buyers nationwide.
In today’s real estate market it is important to have an agent who is knowledgeable and educated about the industry. So many things have changed recently. It takes an agent who is constantly monitoring the market and changes in rules to be efficient at representing your interests in buying or selling a home.
If you have any questions or are interested in buying or selling a home in the local Central Indiana area send me an email at you will find me to be the knowledgeable hard working REALTOR that you need and deserve!
