Rails To Trails
I promised more information on the Rails to Trails Project for Thorntown, Indiana and here it is. Rails to Trails exists under Greenways Foundation which is a Charitable Trust working to promote the growth, enhancement and use of Indiana Greenways. Construction is underway on the Thorntown Keewasakee Trail after years of planning. This is the first phase of the Indiana Visionary Trail System that will receive government funding along with private donations. Per David Cook,"The plan is to make our Indiana trails easily accessable to all Hoosiers. Boone County happens to be ideally located to take advantage of the connectivity being promoted by the State of Indiana."
