It is hard to believe the end of summer is near.

Walk through any department store and you will find prices slashed on summer clothing. A trip to a local retail store will find parents and children filtering through endless aisles of assorted school supplies. Fall is quickly approaching and with the fall comes any avid sports fan’s favorite pastime: FOOTBALL!

In neighboring Indianapolis, home of the Indianapolis Colts, this football season proves to be even more exciting with the opening of the Lucas Oil Stadium.

Local Colts fans and players are anxiously awaiting the opening ceremonies scheduled for August 16th in downtown Indianapolis. At last count, five free tours were scheduled for those who were unable to acquire season tickets. Yes, there is a waiting lists for club and season tickets!

The state of the art stadium seats 63,000 with an expanded capacity of 70,000 for hosting such events as the 2012 Super Bowl. The stadium boasts a retractable roof that divides lengthwise into two rectangle panels. The playing field will be 25ft below street level, allowing fans easier access to their seats. Many modern amenities will be found in the stadium from the high definition replay/scoreboards to the 140 to 150 luxury suites. All with a price tag of $675 million.

With a facility like this the Colts and Tony Dungy are bound to bring home another championship this season. Go Colts!
